Dan has almost two decades of experience representing clients on a wide variety of real estate matters, including commercial leases, acquisitions, dispositions, financing and brokerage matters. His leasing practice focuses on the representation of national and regional restaurants and retailers, where he has established himself as one of the leading practitioners in the nation, having drafted and/or negotiated hundreds of retail leases for various clients over the past decade. Dan also has significant experience representing real estate investment funds and trusts, syndicators, developers, family offices and high net worth individuals on real estate matters involving a broad array of asset types, including retail shopping centers, office and industrial properties, multi-family residential properties and mixed-use projects.

Dan founded Blackacre LLP in order to provide a better way for his clients to grow and thrive – and to that end, formulated a fixed fee pricing model that benefits clients rather than attorneys, while maintaining a premium level of service.

Prior to founding Blackacre, Dan was chair of the Real Estate practice group at Raines Feldman LLP, where he was also a founding partner. Dan began his legal career at the downtown Los Angeles offices of Latham & Watkins LLP and then Allen Matkins.

Dan is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Virginia School of Law.
